- Freeciv.pif A Windows shortcut you can put on your desktop and/or start menu to easily launch the Freeciv Windows client (GTK version). The most current version of that client/server package can be found here: ftp://ftp.freeciv.org/freeciv/packages/windows/ This shortcut assumes you have the Freeciv program files located on your computer in: C:\Program Files\Freeciv\freeciv-1.12.0\ If they are in a different directory, just edit the shortcut by right-clicking the shortcut, selecting Properties, then clicking the Program tab and editing both the "Cmd line" and "Working" lines accordingly. Furthermore, the shortcut defaults to using the trident tileset. If you wish to use a different tileset, just change the "--tiles trident" part of the "Cmd line" line to "--tiles" followed by the name of your tileset of choice. Other client settings including your default username can be modified here as well. Optional: If you put an icon called freeciv.ico in your c:\Program Files\Freeciv directory, the shortcut should then automatically appear as that icon. Bjorn Larsen bjornrl@yahoo.com
